Hi,
I’m Adrian Lazar – Senior Technical Artist working in the industry for over 10 years.
During my career I acquired a wide range of technical and artistic skills working across various disciplines related to Game-Development and Pre-Rendered CG.

I have a focus on Shader Authoring and Material Definition, VFX, Lighting and Rendering / Rendering Optimization.
Also I enjoy working on the production pipeline and workflow – improving and optimizing the asset production and together with programmers develop custom tools.

For many years I did 3D Modeling, Texturing, LookDevelopment and Post-Processing/Compositing – all of which I would still love to do today as well but I find less and less time for these.

On the software side I was lucky to have had the opportunity of using a great variety of tools:
- Unity3D, G2 (IO Interactive in-house engine) and UDK (currently learning) as game engines.
- CG for shader authoring.
- SideFX Houdini, XSI, 3DSMax, Maya (currently learning) and Mudbox for general purpose 3d content creation.
- Mantra, MentalRay, Vray, FinalRender and Brazil as software renders.
- Fusion, Nuke and DavinciResolve for compositing and grading.
- C# (currently learning) to create more flexible effects and smart assets.
- Other software like Photoshop, Mari and FCPX.

During day I’m Senior Technical Artist at FullControl – developer of Space Hulk and Jagged Alliance Flashback among others – and being in a small, dedicated indie studio I have the opportunity to work on many different parts of the production.

During night I’m working on two hobby projects which offer me a chance to develop new skills beside the ones I’m usually using at my full-time job: 
- Freja’s Journey, in collaboration with Mads Jakobsen – an exciting side-scrolling action adventure game set in a magical viking world 
- Growing Up, so far one man production – the story of a little boy that uses his imagination to escape the hard times of growing up.
